Emily's Bio

I always knew I wanted to be a teacher because I just love being in school. Teachers are always learning, I love that I get to try new things every day, my job is never boring!  I love teaching 5th grade, we get to do so many exciting things. I always look forward to learning (and teaching) about the solar system, and our trip to the planetarium each year. It has also been my goal to incorporate technology into my class whenever possible, my class has been using the mobile computer lab a lot this year!

My life outside of the classroom is never boring either! I have a wonderful husband and two silly dogs. One Pitbull and one Dacshund, a very funny combination! I love art and making things so when I’m not teaching, you can find me knitting, embroidering, and even painting sometimes. I was an art/design major in college, so I try to bring my experience in those areas into the classroom too. I also love to travel, I have been all over the world and I have lived in Australia and England.
