For the 2012/2013 school year, the West Portal Parents Club has a goal to raise $191,500 to continue the funding of these enrichment programs. The Education Fund is the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts at West Portal. It is our direct donation program.
100% of your donation goes to West Portal School and is tax deductible.
Our goal is to work together as a community and have every family donate to the Education Fund – our main fundraiser! We ask families to contribute $450 per child ($650 for families with multiple children). However, we respect that every family is not able to contribute at this level. Any amount is appreciated!

All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law. A donation acknowledgement letter will be emailed to the provided email address and can be used as a receipt for tax purposes.

What We Support
As you may know, funding for public schools has been cut to the bare bones. WPS receives some Prop H funds, which help partially fund the library and music programs. However, due to the fundraising efforts of the West Portal community, our children continue to receive the following full-time quality programs:
- Physical Education with Mr. Ramirez
- Music and Chorus instruction with Ms. Susan
- Outdoor Science instruction and hands-on garden time with Ms. Mack
- Library time with Ms. Lafia and Ms. Janine
- Student Support Consultant – Ms Callaghan
- Perceptual Motors with Ms. Christine & Ms. Jennifer
In addition to these amazing school wide programs, the Parent Club also provides the funding for our award winning Chinese Performing Arts Program, the incredible Spring Musical, the inspirational SF Opera program, fun community building events, school and office supplies, field trip transportation, playground equipment, and much, much more.
